July 11, 18 & 25: Hot Nights, Cool Tunes
The 22nd annual Hot Nights, Cool Tunes concert series returns to downtown Brenham for three Saturday nights in July. This year's concerts take place in the Commerce Street Parking Lot (due to courthouse renovations), and the lineup is one of the best in recent memory:
High-energy country music to start the series off with a bang. Arrive early to claim your spot.
A crowd-pleasing cover band known for classic rock, country, and dance hits. Expect a packed house.
Closing out the series with an eclectic mix of genres — the perfect way to end a summer of live music.
All concerts are free, starting at 7:00 PM. Before each main act, the Summer Showcase features local talent from 5:00 to 6:30 PM. Food trucks will be on-site, and the atmosphere is pure small-town Texas summer magic. Bring a lawn chair, grab a cold drink, and enjoy the music under the oaks.
July 12: Floats n' Flicks at Blue Bell Aquatic Center
The City of Brenham's Movies in the Park series continues with a summer special — "Floats n' Flicks" at the Blue Bell Aquatic Center on Saturday, July 12. Bring your float, splash around, and watch Shrek on the big screen under the stars. Gates open at 6:00 PM. It's a fun, family-friendly way to beat the Texas heat.
July 17: Dailey & Vincent at the Barnhill Center
Grammy-nominated bluegrass duo Dailey & Vincent bring their powerhouse harmonies to the Barnhill Center at the Historic Simon Theatre on Thursday, July 17. If you've never seen them live, this is a rare treat — two of the best voices in bluegrass performing in an intimate Brenham venue. Tickets are available through the Barnhill Center website.
July 31: Movies in the Park at Henderson Park
The summer Movies in the Park series wraps up with Madagascar at Henderson Park on Thursday, July 31. Bring blankets, snacks, and the whole family for a relaxed outdoor movie night. Gates at 6:00 PM.
