August 7: Back to School Bash & Blue Bell Aquatic Center 25th Anniversary

August 7 is a double-header day. The annual Back to School Bash at the Brenham Civic Center provides free school supplies, immunizations, and family activities for students heading into the new school year. Supplies go fast, so arrive early.

That evening, the Blue Bell Aquatic Center celebrates its 25th anniversary season with a special evening event from 7:00 to 9:30 PM. Enjoy twilight swimming, music, and family-friendly activities. Admission is $5 with a pool pass, $10 for residents, and $15 for non-residents in advance.

August 8: Wine Stroll and The Lovin' Spoonful

Saturday, August 8 is one of the busiest days of the summer in Washington County. Two big events bookend the day:

The 5th Annual Chappell Hill Wine & Cheese Stroll runs from 11:00 AM to 4:00 PM through historic downtown Chappell Hill. Tickets are $25 in advance. Check in at the Visitor Center at 5145 Main Street.

That evening, Rock & Roll Hall of Fame members The Lovin' Spoonful bring their classic hits to The Barnhill Center at Historic Simon Theatre at 7:00 PM. From "Daydream" to "Do You Believe in Magic," this is a night of iconic American rock and pop.

August 9: Wake Up, Washington County! Networking Breakfast

Start your morning with coffee, breakfast, and networking at the Margaret E. Blizzard Senior Activity Center. The monthly Chamber breakfast brings together Washington County professionals and business leaders at 7:45 AM.

August 13: Tailgate 2026 Chamber Networking

The Washington County Chamber of Commerce hosts its monthly networking event, Tailgate 2026, at 6:00 PM. Open to all Chamber members and guests, it is a great way to connect with local business leaders.

August 20: Bluebonnet Opry — Brian Black & Craig Howell

The Bluebonnet Opry returns on the third Thursday of August with featured performers Brian Black & Craig Howell bringing classic country and bluegrass. This beloved Brenham music tradition happens every third Thursday of the month. Check the Chamber calendar for the venue.

August 28: Brenham Cubs Football Home Opener

Friday night lights are back. The Brenham Cubs kick off the 2026 football season at home against the Huntsville Hornets at Cub Stadium. Game time is 7:00 PM. Come out and support the Cubs for the home opener.

August 29: Liverpool Legends at The Barnhill Center

The summer concert season closes out with Liverpool Legends: The Complete Beatles Experience at The Barnhill Center on Saturday, August 29 at 7:00 PM. This is the most authentic Beatles tribute show in the world, returning by popular demand. Tickets start at approximately $96.
