August in Brenham: Shark Week, Back to School Bash & End-of-Summer Fun

Summer in Brenham doesn't slow down in August — if anything, it accelerates. Between a week of shark-themed aquatic fun, a back-to-school blowout, a beloved wine stroll in Chappell Hill, and some of the best live music of the season at The Barnhill Center, August is packed with reasons to get out and enjoy Washington County before the school bells start ringing. Here's your preview, brought to you by De Wayne at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate Hometown.

August 3–7: BBAC Shark Week

The Blue Bell Aquatic Center turns into an ocean of fun for Shark Week, August 3–7. Expect shark-themed activities, games, and aquatic adventures all week long. It's the kind of end-of-summer event that kids remember — and parents appreciate as a way to burn off energy before school starts.

If you're a parent, mark this one in ink. The supplies go fast, and the immunization clinic is a convenient way to check that box before the first day of school.
