A Texas institution, and the Brenham location is always bustling. Perfect for a quick bite or a late-night stop after a concert downtown. The honey butter chicken biscuit is worth waking up for.
Brenham's craft brewery and a community gathering spot. Great beer, a relaxed atmosphere, and food trucks on-site from 4:00 to 9:00 PM every Friday. Live music from 6:00 to 9:00 PM makes it the perfect way to kick off the weekend.
Brenham is the home of Blue Bell Ice Cream, and a visit to the creamery is practically a rite of passage. The visitor center and gift shop are open year-round, and it's always fun to see (and taste) what's coming out of the factory.
The downtown area continues to grow with a mix of coffee shops, bakeries, and casual dining. Grab a coffee, wander the shops, and soak in the historic Main Street atmosphere. There's always something new popping up.

Friday Night Vibes at Brazos Valley Brewing
Every Friday from 6:00 to 9:00 PM, Brazos Valley Brewing Company hosts live music with food trucks on-site. It's become a Brenham tradition — grab a craft beer, enjoy the tunes, and connect with friends. Check their Facebook page for the weekly lineup.
Washington on the Brazos State Historic Site
Just outside Brenham, this is where Texas declared independence from Mexico in 1836. The grounds are beautiful for a walk, and the site hosts events throughout the year — including the annual Juneteenth Heritage Celebration on June 27. It's a meaningful piece of Texas history right in our backyard.
Outdoor Adventures
Washington County's rolling hills and scenic roads make it ideal for cycling, hiking, and scenic drives. Lake Somerville is nearby for fishing, boating, and camping. And if you're a golfer, the Brenham Golf Course offers a great round with beautiful views.
The Barnhill Center
The Barnhill Center at the Historic Simon Theatre brings touring musicians and performers to Brenham. This summer features Dailey & Vincent (July 17) and The Lovin' Spoonful (August 8), among others. Check their website for the full schedule and ticket information.
